THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY VIDEO CONTEST

Deadline for submission: January 31, 2024

Every Toastmaster experiences an impact on their lives after attending Toastmasters meetings. What’s yours? How has Toastmasters changed you as a person, in your personal or professional life?

Capture your individual transformation after joining Toastmasters in a 30-60 second reel/video/short/TikTok video.

Participate in one or all three contest categories:

  1. The GOOD
    • Share a positive anecdote/experience or positive transformation from your Toastmasters journey.
  2. The BAD
    • Talk about the most difficult experience in your life and how you overcame it through Toastmasters. Take up the challenge and express it to free yourself.
  3. The UGLY
    • Talk about a weakness that you have not yet overcome. How is the Toastmasters experience helping you, and what is your plan to overcome it through Toastmasters.

ELIGIBILITY FOR PARTICIPATION:

  • Be a paid member of a club in good standing
  • Give District 101 permission to post the submitted video(s) to the District 101 YouTube and social media channels

GUIDELINES:

  • You may record your video in a sitting or standing position
  • Consider a conversational style (e.g., with your closest friend), rather than a speech – freestyle method is allowed
  • Be natural as if no one is looking at you
  • Each member of District 101 is allowed to submit one entry per category
  • Upload video(s) to YouTube (as private video) or to your social media timeline

WINNING ENTRIES:

Entries will be judged based on content, storytelling style, and the takeaway from the story.

If your video is chosen as a winner, your video will become part of District 101 and will be posted on District 101 social channels (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn). The video will also be featured on the District 101 home page.

Winners of each of The GOOD, The BAD, and The UGLY categories will also receive District Credit awarded to their home/designated club as follows:
