Pitch Fest

A contest for best pitch on why others should join your Toastmasters club.

What is a Pitch Tournament?

The Pitch Fest gives members an opportunity to a pitch why others should join your Toastmasters club. A pitch should be at least 30 seconds and no longer than 1 minute. Any pitch that exceeds 1 minute will be disqualified. 

Who is eligible to participate?

Any member of a District 101 Toastmasters club with an active membership can participate.

How will the winner be selected?

Groups of 5 participants will deliver their pitches. After the 5 members have pitched their clubs, the Timer will confirm if all participants have qualified. A Zoom poll will be launched for audience members to vote for their favorite pitch from qualifying participants. The winner of a particular group will be determined by popular vote.

 

What will the winner receive?

The winner of each group will receive a trophy.

When is the first Pitch Fest?

The first pitch tournament is scheduled for 6pm Monday, January 16, 2023.

Can multiple members of a club participate?

Yes, multiple members of a club are eligible to participate.

How will the groups of 5 be determined?

The groups of 5 will be selected by random drawing.

How will the speaking order be determined?

The speaking order will be determined using random.org.

Can props be used?

Yes, you may use any kind of props, background, music, graphics, and open broadcasting studio.

Can a pitch be based on a theme?

Yes, you may base your pitch on a theme if you choose to.
