Part of what makes Toastmasters effective is the supportive environment. Here at D101, we have always cultivated community by expressing gratitude!
Let’s take the opportunity to Thank A Toastmaster this season! There is no limit to the number of Toastmasters you can thank, as long as each person has his or her own video or story.
How to enter the video contest:
Please use hashtag #ThankAToastmasterD101
Share a 1-min video thanking a District 101 Toastmasters member (mentor, coach, fellow club member, etc.) who has helped you at any stage of your Toastmasters journey.
Option one: Record a video
One member only should be recognized per video.
Each participant can submit more than 1 video.
– Record a 1-min video
o Name – Club Name – years as a Toastmaster
o Name of the person you wish to thank/acknowledge
o Explain how this member helped you
All videos will be added to our YouTube channel with a link to the Playlist on the front page.
May I share my Thank You in writing instead?
Yes! You may also write a Thank You testimonial instead of the video!

Option two: Write a testimonial
One member only should be recognized per testimonial.
Each participant can submit more than one testimonial.
– Each testimonial can be up to 300 words
– Name – Club Name – years as a Toastmaster
– Name of the person you wish to thank
– Explain how this member helped you
Submission:
Send the testimonial to pr@d101tm.org
Write a short testimonial of up to 300 words.
All stories (written testimonials) will be then added to the website as a blog with other stories and on the front page under ‘Announcements’.
Winner Selection:
The testimonials will be shared on the District’s Social Media pages (PRM and Social Media Chair decide which platform(s) to use).
The testimonials that have the most likes on all the social media pages combined on Saturday, November 30t at midnight will win
The results will be announced on our district leader newsletter and website and at holiday party.
Timeline:
PR Program starting date: Thursday, October 17, 2024 (Newsletter release date)
Deadline to send your testimonial: Saturday, November 30, 2024
