Message from the District Director

Above and Beyond - 2018-19 District 101 themeBuilding up skills is what brings members to join Toastmasters. Whether is it to polish your delivery, deepen your vocabulary or share feedback with fellow members, there is always another aspect of communication or leadership skills you can raise above your current level.

When I noticed that there was even more that I could learn from beyond my club’s walls, I started to take advantage of these opportunities. New doors opened and my comfort zone expanded.

I wish the same experience for you: going Above and Beyond, our District theme this year. Every Toastmaster member has a desire to become a better speaker and/or leader. The motivation of going Above and Beyond is what will set this year apart for you. Going above your original goals, going beyond your club’s atmosphere to discover more of the benefits from your Toastmasters membership.

As your club sets new goals for the year to ensure success for every member, I encourage you to set goals for yourself and go Above and Beyond those to measure your progress.

The continuous learning journey we are sailing is like a pot of gold: there can never be enough! Toastmasters has a lot to offer that you may not have discovered yet. To inquire about these opportunities, do not hesitate to contact me at DD@d101tm.org.

Françoise Muller, District Director
